THE MONDAY MORNING PROJECT
Each network brings together citizens to work with business and civic leaders on public policy issues important to people with disabilities. Monday Morning is a project of the NJ Council on Developmental Disabilities.

Monday Morning has active County-based networks throughout New Jersey that meet on a monthly basis. Each network has a facilitator, co-facilitator, treasurer, and secretary.

The Project has been recognized and duplicated by other state’s Developmental Disabilities Councils.

The Monday Morning Project was founded in 1995. Since then we have held: R Word rallies and outreach, Local Community Conversations, and Accessibility Tours.

Our Vision Includes

• Empowering people with developmental disabilities.
  
• Educating members about disability rights and legislative issues affecting people with developmental disabilities.
  
• Assisting members in developing leadership skills.
  
• Advocating for accessibility in public places,
  including polling sites.
  
• Assisting people with developmental disabilities
  with voter registration.

Monday Morning is an organization of advocates concerned with the issues affecting the developmental disability community. Made up of county-based networks, Monday Morning is the voice of people with developmental disabilities speaking out for systems change, inclusive and improved public access, and a greater voice in community planning.
