Monday Morning
is a grass-roots organization of advocates concerned with the issues affecting the disability community. Made up of county-based networks, Monday Morning is the voice of people with disabilities speaking out for justice, equal opportunities, improved public access and a greater voice in community planning.

Since its inception in 1995, Monday Morning has:
Registered to vote over 16,000 people with disabilities
Helped make dozens of polling places more accessible
Provided sensitivity training to poll workers and election officials
Made dozens of businesses accessible through the Accessibility Campaign
Conducted accessibility tours in several towns
Successfully advocated for passage of the New Jersey Snow Removal Law
Successfully advocated to raise the accessible parking fines in New Jersey
Participated in rallies in Washington, D.C. to support passage of MiCASA.

Effective January 1, 2006: You must register to vote at least 21 days prior to an election.  Voting means power!  Follow the instructions on the linked site for registration, voter information, etc.

There are no excuses NOT to vote!
 

Monday Morning Newsletter
A monthly compilation of national and local news effecting people with disabilities.

Monday Morning Transportation Committee
Members of Monday Morning's  Transportation Committee  took to the streets of Trenton and boarded  NJ Transit buses to report on how the system responded to passengers with disabilities.

Snow Removal Law 
New Jersey's Snow Removal Law requires parking places, curb cuts or other accessibility feature to be clear of ice and snow within 48 hours.

Accessibility Campaign 
A grassroots campaign to remove physical barriers that prevent people with disabilities from entering restaurants, movie theatres, stores, and polling places.

ADA checklist for guidance in understanding the ADA as it pertains to polling places.

Problems Voting? 
The N.J. Division of Elections' website has a form for reporting accessibility problems at the polls
and information on the Help America Vote Act in New Jersey.
